Placer Youth Innovation Challenge

 

WHAT:  The Placer Youth Innovation Challenge is a competition in which participants will compete in teams of 3-5 to design and present a solution to a problem in the community. The winning team will receive $300+ in rewards!

 

WHY:  PCYC commissioners would like to help encourage the growth of STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math] in Placer County. Youth in Placer County are intelligent and innovative individuals who have the potential to contribute to this mission. By hosting the first annual Placer Youth Innovation Challenge, PCYC is providing an opportunity for these individuals to show their ​creativity.

WHO: Participants must be between the ages of 12 and 19.

 

WHERE: Sierra College in the Cafeteria-Dining Hall.

WHEN: December 7th. Check in begins at 7:30am and the event lasts from 8:00am-3:00pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

HOW:  Online applications are now open. Participants must complete the online application.
